Hill and the Valley
For the 2022 Media.Monks Animation Reel I had the please to record with the Grammy winning Metropole Orkest.
My role was to arrange, produce, orchestrate and mix the midi composition of my fellow composer Gabriel Barredo. I also worked together with orchestra producer Robert Soomer to make sure everything was ready for the recording.

After the recordings I took on the daunting task to create the mix, consisting of 100+ channels of audio in Pro Tools.
For the sound design of the intro I worked together with Maarten Meussen. I created renders of audio of separate sections of the orchestra, after which Maarten would transform those with granular synthesis. Then I would take those files to create custom sound design synced to animation that feels like it blends with the music, and at the same time has a unique quality to it.
